With additional parameters
Using |float=left makes this template flow to the left of the page:

Using |pre2=subst: and |pre3=subst: will show "subst:" before the shortcut links, but within the braces. For example:

This template can be used with or without {{endplainlist}}. It is intended to replace {{Unbulleted list}}, which performs the same function, but in a more cumbersome manner.
